How’s your energy these days?

I hope the warmer weather and sunshine are boosting your mood, helping you be productive, and keeping the crazy at bay. Things are definitely feeling weird in DC these days. If you’re dealing with federal funding cuts or other development challenges, hang in there! Below, we’ve got some information to help you navigate fundraising during uncertain economic times.

It’s still early days, and things may shift to a more positive trajectory, but until then, please reach out if you need input, support, or want to share good news!

National Small Nonprofit Summit

Join me on April 9th at Spur Local’s National Small Nonprofit Summit, held this year at the Martin Luther King Library, where I’ll be leading a session on how philanthropy behaves in uncertain times. I´ll talk about how to build a resilient fundraising framework designed for lean teams, share practical tactics, and explore best practices. We’ll also go through strategies for securing major gifts and building long-term fundraising resilience. For more information or to register, click here.

Client Spotlight

We’ve recently begun an engagement with La Clínica del Pueblo, which has been providing medical care, mental health support, health advocacy, and education to the Latine community in the DC region for more than 40 years. We’re excited to support their mission through a fundraising assessment and plan, institutional prospect research, and working with them to hire a new Chief Development Officer.

You´re Invited

In just a few weeks, I’ll be sitting down for another important conversation on navigating uncertainty in fundraising. I’ll be joining  Carrie Fox on the Mission Forward podcast to discuss how nonprofits can keep their missions moving forward despite new federal and state pressures.

Spots are limited for this free, 45-minute event on Tuesday, April 8th at 3:00 PM ET—reserve yours now!

Resisting Through Action

Each month, we´re sharing alternatives to help you navigate the impact of current policy changes in your everyday life.

This month, we are highlighting some shopping alternatives - places where you can buy brands and products that enable you to be a thoughtful shopper, and where you can support corporate policies that prioritize accessibility, sustainability, and inclusivity. Every little bit helps, and this is just one way to ensure that your purchasing power reflects your principles!
